December 10, 2007 – Cycling BC will be running its first BC Youth Team cycling camp January 2-4, 2008 in Victoria, B.C. Below is all the information interested riders ages 13-16 need in order to register for the camp.

Location: Juan De Fuca Velodrome, 1767 Island Highway, Victoria BC

Wednesday, January 2, 2007
Location: Juan De Fuca Velodrome Clubhouse.
– 10am-12pm: Track Racing Skills.
– 12pm-1pm: Lunch Break
– 2pm-4pm: BC Summer Games Practice Event
We will be running through all of the events held at the BC Summer Games (July 24-27th in Kelowna).
Thursday, January 3, 2007
Location: Juan De Fuca Velodrome Club
– 10am-12pm: Road Racing Skills.
– 12pm-1pm: Lunch Break
– 2pm-4pm: Road Ride — looping course.
– 6pm: Athletes Pasta Fest — Old Spaghetti Factory (Downtown Victoria)
Friday, January 4, 2007
Location: Juan De Fuca Velodrome Club
– 10am-12pm: Mountain Bike Skills Session.
– 12pm-1pm: Lunch Break
– 2pm-3pm: Cyclocross Racing
– 3pm-4pm: Wrap-Up Session
Camp Fee: $40.00 (Includes Cycling BC Youth Team T-Shirt)
Camp fees are due on the first day of camp. Cheques are payable to Cycling BC.
Insurance: If you are not a member of Cycling BC, you will need to buy a yearly club membership that costs $30.00. It will provide you with insurance in the event of an accident. The membership is good for the entire year and can be used for future camps and some racing events.
Accommodations: Athletes on the Youth Team must stay with their parents. Please email Dan Proulx for hotel suggestions.
