January 21, 2014 – Cycling BC is hosting two upcoming training camps. The Cycling BC Endurance Training Camp #1 will take place in Squamish, January 24-26, while Ventura, California will host U23 Warm Weather Training Camps in February. More info below.
Cycling BC Endurance Training Camp #1
When: January 24-26, 2014
Where: Squamish, BC
What: An Endurance based camp that will include both on and off bike training with Team Squamish Coach, Mike Charuk, and other local coaches. Athletes can expect to spend some time in the Gym (Challenge by Choice), a functional movement screening from Reach Physio, a yoga session, pool, hot tub and steam time, a mental training and nutrition workshop, some serious saddle time and on bike skill training.

Please be sure you bring an XC, Enduro or All Mountain style bike in excellent working order, helmet, appropriate riding clothing for variable weather conditions, gym clothing and shoes, bathing suit, water bottles, spare tubes and tools to change a flat/trailside repairs, snacks for the rides and other workouts, pen and paper and a good attitude.
This camp will kickoff Friday morning (athletes will be required to take the day off of school) and wrap up Sunday night. We’re looking to set up billeting for athletes outside the Sea to Sky corridor with local Squamish riders, so please be sure to indicate whether you need accommodation or not. All athletes will be responsible for their own snacks and packed lunches for each day (opportunities for grocery shopping will be available).
