Cycling BC iRide Program 2018-2019 – Adera Home to Match Donations Until July 31

July 30, 2018 (British Columbia) – It was great to visit with Global TV recently and discuss the growth of cycling in B.C. and the iRide youth program. Also if you missed our recent newsletter, here is a quick recap of what Cycling BC and iRide have been focusing on at the moment.

Summer Update:

  • 2017 / 2018 school program success (Vancouver, Victoria, Comox and Kelowna)
  • 30 field trips completed in Lower Mainland to the Burnaby Velodrome / Abby BMX
  • 25 after-school programs and 17 summer camps offered in 2018
  • Bookings for 2018 / 2019 schools now open
  • *Possible expansion in 5 new areas if schedule fills up by October fundraiser
iRide program.2Upcoming Opportunities:
    • Leadership camp available Aug 27-31st for riders aged 14-20 years old who wish to volunteer / work at 1 of 9 after-school iRide Sprockids programs this autumn
    • Adera Loves Bikes is a matching campaign ending July 31st that supports the purchase of 2 new iRide bike fleets (for possible expansion noted above), bikes for youth-in-need through the Union Gospel Mission and funds trail maintenance through the North Shore Mountain Bike Association’s Adopt-A-Trail program – video
