Cycling BC Invites Juniors To Attend Training Camp

March 2, 2006 – Cycling BC’s inaugural Spring Break Training Camp, March 17, 18 and 19, aims to focus on training, testing and preparation for the upcoming road season. The Camp offers Junior-aged cyclists the opportunity to train alongside certified coaches, licenced racers and fitness trainers, in a unique, high performance Camp atmosphere, allowing one-on-one, sport specific instruction that concentrates on developing and maximizing cycling efficiency, knowledge and fitness – all while having FUN with peers who share a similar passion for the sport of cycling!

The Camp will also assist in identifying athletes for upcoming BC Team Projects, including the Tour de LíAbitibi, BC Summer and Western Canada Summer Games and potentially, Road and Track Nationals. Performance data collected at the Camp will be shared among Cycling BC project leaders, PacificSport staff and personal coaches, which may result in invitations to future Training Camps or BC Team Projects.

All Junior athletes are welcome, regardless of skill level or discipline.

A special invite is extended to cross-training athletes from XC skiing and Speed Skating backgrounds.
