Cycling BC Holiday Youth Camp Returns – Dec. 27-30

November 23, 2012 (Burnaby, BC) – Hot on the heels of the immensely successful November Youth Track Camp, Cycling BC is happy to announce the return of the Holiday Youth Camp from December 27-30.

Included in the camp will be multiple track training sessions in addition to the Superior Glass 4 Day Track Race hosted by the Burnaby Velodrome Club. The main focus of the camp will be learning essential track skills with an emphasis on team pursuit and team sprint. There will also be off-the-bike seminars with special guests. This camp is part of the continuing nation-wide talent identification program for the national track program, with an eye towards 2013 Junior Pan American Track Championships, and also possible 2016 and 2020 Olympic athletes.

Any riders interested in taking part are asked to send an application via email to Cycling BC development coach Jeff Ain at jeff@cyclingbc.net. Please include a brief background about yourself (age, riding experience, etc.). Space is limited, so act fast if you want to take part!

Dates: December 27-30, 2012

Where: Burnaby Velodrome, 7564 Barnet Highway, Burnaby, BC

Age Range: 13-18

Cost: TBA (will be approximately $100/rider, includes camp, race entry, bike rental if required)
