Cycles Devinci Signs New National DH Team

January 22, 2007 – Cycles Devinci is pleased to announce the recent signing of new Canadian DH team, Primary/Daredevil. The team will have a complete national presence with high-profile riders in every province.

The team will cover every Canada Cup, the Mont-St-Anne World Cup event next June, the US open, Psychosis, and various provincial races. As well as racing, Primary/Daredevil is highly focused on growing the sport of DH cycling in Canada. The team works hard to bring forward ideas that will enhance the sport to race promoters, provincial sport organizations and industry partners. Founding member Chris Cousineau states, “we want this to be the most approachable and helpful team on the circuit. We are constantly trying to get more people hooked on DH, and are always eager to help out newcomers to the sport”.

Team management, based in Ontario, is led by long time downhillers Drew Pautler and Chris Cousineau. According to Drew, they are “very optimistic about the upcoming season. The whole team is going to have the chance to use the popular Devinci Wilson bike, known for its toughness and performance. Devinci has not had a single warranty issue in the span of 4 seasons with the Wilson, so we are very happy to be riding what we think are the greatest bikes in the world again”.

Other team partners include Sram, Rock Shox, Avid, Wrex Racing, Sweet Pete’s Bike Shop and Want Beverages. More from the team can be found on the team’s blog here.
