July 9, 2009 – Get Ready for an amazing weekend of racing and raising AIDS awareness in Africa. This will be the 3rd year for the Stephen Lewis Foundation fund raiser at Blue Mountain. Stephen Lewis is the former UN envoy to Africa who started to really see the devastating effect that AIDS has had on Africa. Grassroots projects are the focus of the Stephen Lewis Foundation “” providing resources to small, front-line groups that make tremendously effective use of comparatively small amounts of money – Stephen Lewis Foundation.
Sirbikealot Racing will match all donations by the riders, racers, friends and family at the races. We will have our toonie toss going on at registration so make sure to bring a toonie!
Blue is back and will be the host of the first ever Super D Provincial Championships! So expect a course that only a true provincial champ should win. As always we will have an amazing DH race course utilizing a customized/race only version of a few of Blue’s famous DH runs. Riders with season passes will receive a rebate at the event (go ahead and pre-reg as usual).

3 More marshalls needed and Waiver requirements for Blue Mtn DH #5
1. 3 more marshalls are desperately needed for saturday practice day, no skills required, it is simply keeping the course clear and making sure if a rider goes down the course is stopped and first aid is contacted. We really need the DH community to help out, we are willing to give free practice days fees to the son, friend, etc of the marshall (or $50 direct to the marshall). Please email me asap
2. An important reminder that ALL riders under 18 need a parent present with them to sign their waiver. This includes all season pass holders who may have already had this done for their season’s pass.
Blue mountain has their own “event” waiver and therefore every single person under 18 needs a parent present.
