Cycle Solutions DH #3/Super D#2 Report

release by Sirbikealot Racing

June 17, 2010 – Super D was super wet but that didn’t deter some hardcore riders who had heard about the more technical course that was to be unveiled. Everyone had a great time trying different lines, trying to double up jumps and generally make it to the bottom!

The DH practice day was tough with rain off and on, but those that showed up for it made all the difference as they were generally the ones on the podium after racing on Sunday. This course has a serious mid section with steeps, rocks, multiple rock chute lines and some step ups to boot. Even the newly added whoops section in the middle field section had people confused, do I jump them, roll them, the fastest guys pumped and jumped their way through.

Women
The Women’s field saw a super close battle with only a few seconds between 1st and 3rd. It’s always a great way to race when you can see 1st place just ahead!

1. Sara Byers 9:40
2. Rachael Mirvish 9:45
3. Kim Jones 9:52

Men 25 and under
A super strong field of pro DH racers battled it out, but it was Jeff Faulds (Norco) with a ninja passing move that got him into first place behind the herminator and Zdriluk (Lapierre).

1. Jeff Faulds 6:01
2. Mike Hermanovsky 6:03
3. Matt Zdriluk 6:05

Men 25+
The old boys took the line and were really pumped about the super tech sections of the course, Dylan Elliot pulled it out by just 7seconds over Jeremy Vreugdenhil, Sean Teschke took a solid 3rd!!

1. Dylan Elliot 6:59
2. Jeremy Vreugdenhil 7:06

Always a great battle, these HT riders know how to charge a section, especially our fave Andy Robinson (Impala), this guy always puts a smile on the faces! Faulds (Norco) and Acker rounded out the podium with super strong times!!
