Cycle Camelot Ride Benefiting Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre – May 31

May 12, 2014 (Barrie, ON) – Join the May 31, 2014 Cycle Camelot Ride in the Oro-Medonte region and help raise funds to support the new Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre. Whether you’re an active road cyclist or a casual cyclist, please accompany us for a fabulous day of cycling, local culture and cuisine and live entertainment.

Enjoy the rolling rural countryside of the Oro Medonte region this year while participating in a 100km, 75km, 50km,  or 25 km ride. Now accepting individual and team registrations

Ride with Michael Barry!
Professional Canadian cyclist Michael Barry will lead out the 100 km Platinum Ride and will be a featured guest at the post-ride lunch.

After the ride enjoy a superb meal prepared by Horseshoe Resort Executive Chef  Dylan Tulloch.

Four cycling route choices of varying distances allow everyone to challenge themselves either as an individual rider or as part of a team and enjoy the winning feeling of being a participant and the communal spirit of raising money to help others.

Included in the $75.00 Registration Fee: Supported bike ride; art show; lunch; live entertainment.

Four route options:
Platinum Route – 100 kilometers- This ride will be lead out by professional Canadian cyclist Michael Barry.
Ideal for experienced road cyclists, this route follows the Oro-Medonte centurion route and while feature challenging climbs, stunning rural landscape views and a well-earned rest stop.

Gold Route – 75 kilometers
The Gold Route features a mixture of rolling rural countryside, some challenging climbs, combined with superb vistas along with a rest stop to recharge yourself.

Silver Route – 50 kilometers (No Horseshoe Valley Rd. hill)
The Silve Route will reward you with a combination of scenic views, rolling forested back country roads and numerous water stops to make it an enjoyable experience for both yourself and fellow cycling participants.

Bronze Route – 25 kilometers (No Horseshoe Valley Rd. hill)
The Bronze Route is an opportunity for casual cyclists to experience the local countryside and enjoy the companionship of fellow cyclists while enjoying numerous rest stops along the cycle-friendly route.
