January 28, 2007 – The UCI Managment Committee awarded Copenhagen, Denmark with the 2010 Track World Championships and the 2011 Road World Championships at its latest meeting in Courtrai, Belgium. Canberra, Australia was named host city of the 2009 MTB World Championships at the same meeting.
