December 5, 2008 – After 9 months of negotiations, Local Ride has sealed the deal with its newest addition to the Local Ride Women’s Team. It all came down to the last few hours with a tough, painful delivery of terms from the riders agent, Nona Coles.
But in the end, at 4:04am on December 4, 2008, the cord was cut, and a life-long contract was signed. Weighing in at a buff 9.8 pounds, the new rider has the best power to weight ratio on the team. What role she will play on the team is yet to be determined, as team director Jeremy Storie could not be reached at press time.
“I’m very excited about the new additon to the team,” commented team manager Barry Lyster, “She will have some great role models with a talented group of women, including team leaders Sandra Walter, Jean Ann McKirdy, Laura Brown and sisters Maggie and Kaelen.”
