November 29, 2012 (Vancouver, B.C.) – Top Canadian road cyclist and 2008 Olympian Erinne Willock took the year off racing to start a family with her husband and avid cyclist Tony Zarsadias. On July 11, Xavier was born, weighing in at 7lbs 3oz, including a full head of hair and Mohawk.
Willock’s father, Martin Willock, was also a competitive cyclist, representing Canada at the 1984 Olympics, so it will not be a surprise to see little Xavier in the peloton in a few years.
Willock was recently in Vancouver for the launch of the Global Relay Bridge the Gap Fund, a mentorship and funding program for young cyclists. Read more HERE.
“We’ve been doing well, we love being new parents and everyone is now healthy and Xavier is growing like a weed. The hardest part has been the huge lack of sleep but it is slowly getting better!” said Willock.
Congratulations and all the best to the Willock-Zarsadias family from all of us at Pedal.
