June 14, 2006 – Another casualty of “Operation Puerto” scandal is the recent announcement that the Spanish team, Comunidad Valenciana, has had their TDF invite withdrawn. The team (formerly Kelme) had its reputation scarred by former rider Jesus Manzano, who spoke openly about widespread drug use on the team.

This development follows the Liberty Seguros drug scandal involving team manager Manolo Saiz who recently resigned following allegations of doping against him and others. More news is coming as allegedly many riders are involved in the case.
