March 17, 2006 – CSLC International Internship Program “Recognize the Power of Sport.” Share your passion. See the world. We are currently seeking 6 committed and passionate sports and/or International Development people who will join our program and undertake an 8-month international placement within Africa or the Caribbean.
The CSLC international internship program is offered to Canadian graduates in the field of Health, Physical Education, Kinesiology, Human Kinetics, Sport Management and International Development who have been active in sport, or retired elite athletes and coaches who have the passion and skills to invest in Development through Sport. CSLC interns volunteer for eight months in developing countries, assisting Community-Based organizations, National Olympic Committees, National Sport Councils, Government Ministries and Non-Governmental Organizations in Development through Sport projects.
Using the convening and transformative power of sport, Canadian youth support programs that address social development priorities such as basic education, HIV/AIDS, health, gender equity, capacity building, child protection, and basic nutrition.
The CSLC is part of the Government of Canada’s Youth Employment Strategy (YES) and is funded by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) and Canadian Heritage. Please visit our website for information on eligibility, application procedures, and specific internship descriptions:
