November 16, 2004 – The OCA Club Challenge Standings have been updated as of November 7th. Do you think the season is over? Do you think it is too late to earn significant OCA Club Challenge Points? If your answer is “No” then you are absolutely correct.
With 6 remaining cyclo-cross events left on the calendar, there are still oodles of club challenge points yet to be earned. Whether your club is making an all-out effort to climb the standings, or a top heavyweight defending off the many challengers, every club point earned will make a difference. Unlike road or mountain, cyclo-cross has no ability age categories thus all categories can earn club challenge points.
One-Event Racing Permits are available at all remaining events (except Centennial Park Cyclo-Cross) however only club members with valid citizen permits or UCI licences are eligible to earn club points.
By having the Provincial Cyclo-Cross Championships (November 28th in Aurora) awarding double points, Provincial Champions will earn 50 points – making no OCA Club Challenge lead safe. Why not start contributing this weekend at the Kingston Cyclo-Cross or the Baldwin Cross at WindyHill Farm in Kintore?
