September 7, 2002, Les Gets, France – Anne Caroline added another title to
her belt when she won the first ever Women’s 4-Cross World Cup series. You
could say she’s had a very successful week, not only has she won the World
Cup Series Downhill Title for the fifth time but just last week she was
crowed the first ever 4-Cross World Champion and won her seventh World Cup
downhill title. Starting to lose track?

This weekend, after winning the women’s 4-Cross race, she secured her
overall 4-Cross Series title. It wasn’t without effort. The world’s best
downhillers are quickly creeping up on Chausson, coming within thirty
points of taking the lead from her. The competition came from French
teammate Sabrina Jonnier and Australia’s Katrina Miller. The threesome
finished one-two-three in the final event as well as in the overall
standings.

Canadian women have yet to enter this event on the World Cup circuit.
