September 8, 2002, Les Gets, France – Current World Champion Anne Caroline
Chausson (Volvo-Cannondale) won another race this past weekend in Les Gets,
France and secured her fifth World Cup title in the downhill series. It was
close with French teammate Sabrina Jonnier coming in just over one hundred
points behind Chausson in the overall, after finishing second in Saturday’s
race. Great Britain’s Fionn Griffiths finished third. Third place overall
went to another Brit, Tracy Moseley.

No Canadians were entered in the final event however Canada’s Cassandra
Boon from B.C. finished 27th overall in the world cup after only racing two
events. Fellow Canadian Michelle Dumaresq was 45th overall after racing
only one event in the series.
