The Rca – JEC Composites Americas Innovation Award

Spring is here and we are ready. With the latest from Project Calfornia in the Rca, and a new generation of athletes showing pure talent, it has already been a great spring.  And it has only just begun.

The Cervélo Rca is already winning awards. JEC Composites has awarded the Americas Innovation award to Cervélo in the Sports and Leisure category. This award is a huge honour as it looks at products across all sports and leisure industries.

The Rca was recognized for the advanced use of materials and groundbreaking composite design. Partnering with Integran/Powermetal and 3M, the award-winning model was developed in our Project California facility and makes some significant advancements over its predecessor, the R5CA.

• Average weight: 667 grams, size 54 with paint & hardware
• 7.4 Watts less aero drag vs. R5ca and up to 10.2 Watts less drag than typical road bikes
• The same optimal stiffness we achieved with the R5ca

The Rca showcases the best of our knowledge, testing, and industry-leading engineering processes.
