March 3, 2010 (Ottawa, ON) – In 2009, the Canadian Cycling Association sent a team of 14 riders to participate in the Pan American Track Cycling Championships in Mexico City. It proved to be the beginning of a successful season with riders coming home with a Continental Championship Record, five new Canadian Records, and eight medals.
The 2010 Pan American Championships are scheduled to take place in Aguacalientes, Mexico from May 10-18 and the CCA is looking to build on last year’s success. The Pan American Track Team will be chosen from riders participating in a selection camp in LA from April 10-12, 2010 and having met set Selection Criteria. Full details regarding the team selection and national team policies may be found on the CCA website here.
Athletes interested in attending the National Track Team Trials in LA, are asked to e-mail Petrina Tulissi at track@canadian-cycling.com by March 19, 2010.
