March 3, 2010 – The CCA has released some important BMX news and information for the 2010 season, including the announcement of the athletes selected to represent Canada at the upcoming Madrid Supercross World Cup and details about registration for Supercross World Cup events. CCA announces BMX athletes selected for Madrid Supercross World Cup
The CCA is pleased to announce the Athletes for the partially funded Team for the upcoming SX event in Madrid Spain. This is the first World cup for the 2010 season and 4th event counting towards the 2012 Olympic qualification process. The event will be held on the same style of track and racing format as the Olympic Games.

The team was selected based on the athletes that currently make up nation ranking and have proven performances in the 2009 season.

Madrid SX:
– Sam Cools
– Tory Nyhaug
– Scott Erwood
– Jim Brown
– Danielle Brisson

BMX SX World Cup Registration
Championship athletes (17 year and older) wishing to compete in a UCI BMX Supercross World Cup competitions must register only under the agency of the national federation. All championship class riders can register by emailing Nicholas Vipond nicholas.vipond@canadian-cycling.com. Only pre registrations will be honoured. No race day registration will be accepted on site. No exceptions.
