June 15, 2010 ((Ottawa, ON) – The Canadian Cycling Association (CCA) is thrilled to announce the appointment of Guy Napert-Frenette to manage its Communications services, starting today until September 30, 2010. The CCA is currently re-evaluating its procedures with regards to the communication processes with the media and various stakeholders, doing so in alignment with its 2009-2012 Strategic Plan. Many new services will be offered to better service the media and the community throughout this summer, leading to world-class servicing and top athlete preparation as the Canadian cycling team rides towards the 2012 Olympic Games in London, ENG.
Napert-Frenette will be servicing the media on behalf of the CCA at various events throughout the summer, notably at the 2010 UCI Para-Cycling Road World Championships in Baie-Comeau, QC, at the 2010 UCI Mountain Bike and Trials World Championships in Mont-Sainte-Anne, QC, and at the two UCI Pro-Tour events in Québec City and Montréal, QC.
Napert-Frenette has extensive experience in the field of Communications, specializing in sports since 2002. Napert-Frenette served in both professional and amateur sport industries, most recently managing the successful communications efforts of Canada~Snowboard, where he will return in the fall, in its lead up to the 2010 Olympic Winter Games.
