Cascade Classic -Stages 3/4 (NRC)

July 12, 2003 – The Cascade Cycling Classic continued with a 7-mile Individual Time Trial in the morning and a 1-hour Criterium in the evening, yesterday. The usual set of suspects topped the results in both events as the tight competition for the overall victory in this 6-stage race continued.  One surprise however was the time trial win by Nathan O'Neill (Saturn) as his form has been less than stellar as of late.  Navigators' Chris Baldwin took the 3rd step on the podium.

In the evening criterium, the action as expected, was performed under the watchful eyes of the strongest teams as they maintained the positions of their race leaders. In the end, it was a pack sprint taken by Chris Horner (Saturn). The only changes in the overall classification resulted in the morning ITT, as Jonathan Vaughters (Prime Alliance) gained 9-seconds on Navigators' Chris Wherry, moving him in to 2rd overall.  At the end of the day however, only 58-seconds separates the top-3 in the overall classification, with only 2-stages remaining.
