Cascade-ABC Cycles Disbands Team

September 17, 2010 (Montreal, QC) – Cascade-ABC Cycles team is winding down operations according to a press release sent out Wednesday. Founded in 2005 by Quebec cyclists with the common goal of promoting and developing women’s cycling, The team describes itself “the première and most important Québec cycling team completely composed of women,” on its Facebook page. Team Cascades-ABC Cycles has accomplished much in six years, including:

– Four Canadian titles;
– One American championship title;
– Nine Quebec championship titles
– Over 150 podiums in North America.

ABC-Cascade’s attributes its success to:
– Generous sponsors;
– talented, disciplined and determined cyclists;
– Family and friends who were always present and,
– Team spirit and exemplary sportsmanship.

The team would also like to extend kudos to:

Its principal sponsors, Cascades, ABC Cycles and Honeywell, which have supported ABC-Cascade throughout this incredibly ambitious project.
