July 7, 2005 – As reported in Bicycle Retailer and Industry News, Cannondale Bicycle Corporation has announced today that it has reached an agreement to acquire Sugoi Performance Apparel for an undisclosed amount.

With the acquistion, Cannondale’s apparel department increases signifcantly and the move also strengthens the Bethel, Connecticut based company’s presence in cycling, triathlon and running markets. Cannondale distributes worldwide with operations in Europe, Japan and Australia.

Sugoi, based out of B.C., is widely distributed across North America, Europe and Asia. Sugoi operations, management and staff will remain at its headquarters in Vancouver, B.C.
