January 16, 2011 (Adelaide, Australia) – Team HTC-Highroad and Australia were the big winners today in the 51km Cancer Council Classic circuit race on a 3km pancake flat course in Adelaide, Australia. The Cancer Council Classic acted as a preview to the first UCI ProTour event of 2011, the Tour Down Under.
Team mates Matthew Goss (Aus) and Mark Renshaw (Aus) HTC-Highroad scored a one-two punch in the final sprint, followed by fellow countryman, Robbie McEwen (Aus) Team RadioShack.
