June 14, 2006 – Building on its previous broadcasts, Canal Evasion is proud to bring viewers exclusive live coverage of the 2006 Tour de France. For the fourth straight year, race experts Richard Garneau and Louis Bertrand bring you the world’s greatest cycling event.
The Tour de France will be broadcast live every morning starting at 8:30AM from July 1-23 (rebroadcast at 8:30PM) on Canal Evasion, with commentators Richard Garneau and Louis Bertrand — delivering every moment of the 3,654km race where 21 teams and 189 riders will fight for the yellow jersey. And live television means that every stage will be covered through to the end, no matter how late.
Canal Evasion will also be highlighting the country behind the race. Travel journalist Lio Kiefer will be bringing his highly personal take on France via reports on the cities and regions of the Tour. And Bernard Vallet, former rider and team director, will be on-site correspondent and provide race news and analysis.
