May 14, 2003 – Canada's six woman team is all set to begin the Tour de
l'Aude in France, which gets under way on Friday with a prologue, followed
by nine stages. The race concludes on May 26th. The National Team is
represented by Nicole Demars and Gina Grain, both of the Victory Brewing /
Amoroso's Cycling team, Anne Samplonius, Katy St. Laurent, the defending
National Road Champion, and Carrie Tuck and Erinne Willock, both of the
Rona – Esker Cycling Team.

Four of the girls took part in a small race in the region of Eauze on May
11, after arriving in Toulouse on the morning of May 10. Given the
opportunity to stretch their legs and get a ride in before the big stage
race, Canada's riders performed well. Gina Grain won the race. Erinne
Willock finished 3rd. Anne Samplonius finished 5th and Carrie Tuck finished
7th.
