June 30, 2010 (Mt. Morris, WI) – Check out these photos of the Canadian U23 Mountain Bike squad that went to the US Cup in Mt. Morris, Wisconsin last weekend. The team was led by Ian Hughes, Québec’s Provincial Mountain Bike Team Coach. The goal of the project was to provide U23 riders with a National Team project aimed at improving their success at 2010 UCI World Mountain Bike and Trials Championships this September. Rebecca Beaumont (Can) Team Canada finished 15th in the elite women’s XC. In the men’s race, Simon Lalancette (Can) was Team Canada’s top rider in 19th. Sebastien Cadieux-Duval (Can) Team Canada finished 23rd, followed by Francis Morin (Can) Team Canada in 25th.

Beaumont went on to place 12th in the elite women’s short track race on Sunday, while Morin took 23rd in the elite men’s STX. Cadieux-Duval was 35th and Simon Lalancette (Can) Team Canada finished 37th.
