March 31, 2011 (Chia Columbia) – Canada has a robust team that arrived in Chia, Columbia today for the Pan-American MTB Championships taking place March 31-April 3 (races take place April 2-3). Lead by head coach, Dan Proulx, there are medal contenders in every category with Derek Zandstra and Emily Batty the top Elite XC riders on the squad along with 2010 DH Worlds silver medalist, Steve Smith. The DH competition is on Saturday, April 2 and the XC races take place on Sunday, April 3.
