Canadian Men’s Pursuit Team Seeks Funding for 2016 Track World Championships in UK

February 04, 2016 – The Canadian Men’s Pursuit squad heading to the 2016 UCI Track Cycling World Championships next month in the UK are appealing for funds to cover their costs to compete at the event. “Update from California. This morning we got good news and bad news. Good news is we have officially qualified for the Track World Championships in London, England March 2-6th. The Bad news is this trip is self-funded. Please help the men’s track endurance team compete in the biggest race of career so far….” writes Ed Veal on his Facebook page.

The team is looking for $15,000 in funds but had only received $1,234 at press time. According to subsequent posts on Ed Veal’s Facebook page, both James Clausner and John Tolkamp (President, Cycling Canada) have made “generous” donations.

The Men’s Team Pursuit squad includes:
– Aidan Caves
– Adam Jamieson
– Sean Mackinnon
– Rémi Pelletier-Roy
– Ed Veal
