February 27, 2004 – Although previously reported as being on the start list for this weekend's Het Volk race, Ryder Hesjedal will not be riding after all. Due to illness, Hesjedal has opted to remain in his hometown of Victoria, B.C., preparing for the NORBA opener in Waco, Texas, in a week and a half.
