September 04, 2014 (Hafjell, Norway) – Canada’s Marine Lewis placed a strong 12th in the 4-lap Junior Women’s 16.8km race won by Nicole Koller (Switzerland) in Hafjell, Norway this morning at the 2014 UCI MTB World Championships. Reigning national champ Soren Meeuwisse finished 28th suffering a crash while teammate Laurie Arseneault was 29th and Paige Foxcroft was 36th.

In the men’s 5-lap race covering 21km Canada’s Marc-Andre Fortier, the reigning Junior Men’s champ, recovered from two flats to claim a valiant 12th place at the finish.
