September 02, 2012 (Leogang Austria) – Micayla Gatto from B.C. in 6th lead three Canadians to top-10 finishes in the Elite Women’s DH final at the UCI MTB World Championships in Leogang, Austria – Casey Brown was 7th, Claire Buchar 8th, Lauren Rosser was 11th and Miranda Miller finished in 17th. Morgane Charre from France bested reigning champ and compatriot, Emmeline Ragot, for the rainbow jersey in a surprise upset with young Manon Carpenter (Great Britain) taking the bronze over veterans Floriane Pugin (France) in 4th and Rachel Atherton (Great Britain) in 5th.
