Canada’s Fincham 6th in U23 Men’s MTB World Cup Race at Nove Mesto

May 25, 2019 (Nove Mesto, CZE) – Reigning Canadian U23 champ, Sean Fincham (Norco Factory Team), raced to a solid 6th-place finish in the 6-lap U23 Men’s 26.20km competition won by Vlad Dascalu (Rou) Brujula Bike Racing Team. Fellow Canuck Quinton Disera (Norco Factory Team) was 19th, Gunnar Holmgren (Team Canada) finished 33rd, Tyler Orschel (Team Canada) was 60th, Raphael Auclair (Pivot Cycles-OTE) placed 66th and Team Canada’s Victor Verreault was 96th.

In the 5-lap U23 Women’s 23.20km competition Laurie Arsenault (Team Canada) finished 19th for a top-20 result as Haley Batten (Team USA) led wire to wire for the win. Sophianne Samson (Equipe du Quebec) was 38th, Marianne Theberge (Team Canada) placed 42nd, Mackenzie Myatt (Team Canada) was 45th, and Juliette Tetreault (Equipe du Quebec) finished 49th.
