October 22, 2003 (Kona, Hawaii) – Congratulations to Zipp Athletes Lori Bowden and husband Peter Reid who took top honors at the 25th anniversary Ironman World Championships. The dual victories marked the first time Zipp athletes have won both the men's and women's divisions in the same year. Both Lori and Peter powered to victory on Zipp Z4 wheel sets.

Reid won the 25th edition of the Ironman world championships with a commanding time of 8:22:36 over one of the strongest long-course triathlon fields ever assembled. The victory was Reid's third at the Kona world championships. 50 minutes after Reid crossed the line, a smiling Bowden took her own second Ironman victory over the strong women's field.  Four years after her first Ironman World Championship, Bowden claimed the 25th anniversary edition of theevent.
