March 06, 2019 (Tucson, Arizona) – Canada’s Marie-Soleil Blais (Astana Women’s Team) won the overall at the 33rd Annual Tucson Bicycle Classic in Southern Arizona. Blais finished 4th in the 5.14km Old Tucson/McCain Loop ITT on Stage 1 on Friday Mar. 1 followed by second in the 98.2km Stage 2 Road Race. She finished the final Tucson Circuit Race on Stage 3 in fourth with the same time as winner, Summer Moak (USA) Rally UHC Cycling, to claim the overall.

“Winning the Tucson Bicycle Classic was like winning at home. I’m very lucky to have had so much support from the cycling community in Tucson over the last 3 years and yesterday it really warms my heart to see how big my Tucson’s family have grown and to share this win with all of you who have contributed to my progress in cyling,” said Blais on Instagram. “Thanks to many new friendships, host families, the @homestretchfdn (Stretchies) and local bike stores, mechanics, etc. You make me feel at home here!
