July 28, 2007 – The Canadian Cycling Association is pleased to announce the riders selected to represent Canada in the downhill events at the 2007 Mountain Bike World Championships team, to be held in Fort William, Scotland, on September 4-9.

Nine athletes will compete in the downhill events in Fort William:

Junior Men
– Hans Lambert (QC)
– Steve Smith (Nanaimo, BC)

Junior Women
– Anne Laplante (Hull, QC)
– Miranda Miller (Squamish, BC)

Elite Men
– Luke Kitzanuk (Vancouver, BC)
– Jeff Beatty (Whistler, BC)
– Tyler Morland Whistler, BC)
Alternate: Steve Chan (Nanaimo, BC)

Elite Women
– Micayla Gatto (Vancouver, BC)
– Claire Buchar (Whistler, BC)

The team will be supported by the following staff:
