Canada To Host Two MTB World Cups In 2007

March 23, 2007 — Saint Félicien (QC), new venue in the 2007 Nissan UCI Mountain Bike World Cup presented by Shimano.

After the cancellation of the American round scheduled in Angel Fire Resort, the UCI looked for a replacement venue and it is finally the city of Saint Félicien (Quebec) that will host the fifth round of the Olympic Cross Country event on 1st July 2007. However, the downhill and 4 cross have unfortunately been cancelled.

Organising city of the Quebec Cup since 2000, Saint Félicien will host a round of the World Cup for the first time. It will be supported by the CCA (Canadian Cycling Association), the FQSC (Fédération Québécoise des Sports Cyclistes) and Gestev, organiser of the Mont-Sainte-Anne race.

A press conference (one in Québec and one in Saint-Félicien) will be organized soon to provide detailed information about the event. Details on the press conference to come.
