June 9, 2006 — Canada’s speediest downhillers hit the hill at Mont Ste-Anne, Que. this weekend to contest for the Canada Cup leader’s jersey. After two events, the competition is hot.

Women’s National Champion Adrienne Miller (BC, Devinci-Daredevil) is in a solid series lead with two for two wins. In the men’s series, everyone’s chasing Luke Kitzanuk (QC, Giant), with teammate Eric Goss (NB, Giant) in second.

Downhill daredevils will be training on the hill all day Saturday so they’ll have the course dialed for the final, starting at 1:00 p.m. Eastern on Sunday.

The weather forecast for Sunday is calling for rain and a high of 16 degrees, which promises to make the technical course slick and slicker. The mud will be flying at Mont Ste-Anne this weekend!
