October 18, 2012 (Vancouver, BC) – Following the great success and help from the volunteers at the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup in September at Abbotsford Exhibition Park, Cycling BC is seeking volunteers for the upcoming 2012 Canadian Championships of Cyclo-cross and BC Grand Prix of Cylo-cross taking place at the Surrey Bike Park on November 16-18.

We need to recruit volunteers to assist with course maintenance, marshalling the beer garden and course, assisting the finish judges and awards coordinator from November 16-17 2012.

Why get involved? For one thing, you will be part of a National event and get to see some of the best Cyclo-cross racers from across Canada compete for the coveted Maple Leaf Jersey!  The course in Surrey promises to be challenging, entertaining and includes tight off-camber corners, fly-over and, praying for some light rain, slippery grass sections; all part of a CX rider’s dream!

In addition to our undying gratitude, we also take good care of our volunteers.

In return, we will provide you with the necessary training (if applicable) for your role, as well as lunch, drinks and a Cyclo-cross event experience that you won’t soon forget.
