November 13, 2005 – From December 12 to the 17, the Burnaby Velodrome Club will be hosting a track cycling SixDay Race. Held nightly from 7pm until 10pm, the event will be run at The Harry Jerome Sports Center in Burnaby at 7564 Barnet Highway. The feature of the SixDay is the Madison, the 2-rider partner event where riders relay each other into races with furious hand-slings.

A finalized schedule is soon to be published on the Burnaby Velodrome website and registration will open on Karelo.com. Find your Madison partner now and get ready for some great track-racing action.

BVC Storage Under Track

The BVC will be cleaning up the area under the track. This is so we can assign bike storage for full and associate members.

The BVC requests that all members current and past that have bikes and spares under the track to please label there bikes and spares. The club will clean up the bike storage under the track and assign spots to current members. If you have a bike under the track and aren’t a current member we ask you to remove your items before December 1st. Any bits and bikes not labeled or spoken for after December 1st will be removed from under the track.

The BVC realizes that we may not have current e-mail info for some people that have items stored under the track. If a member knows of any items that belong to someone please make that known to Steve Crowe. He can be reached via e-mail at scmarine[at]telus.net
