March 14, 2007 – The Burnaby Velodrome is proud to announce that Saeco Canada Ltd, ATAC Sportswear, Karma Metal Works Ltd. and Red Truck Beer have signed on as sponsors of the Burnaby Velodrome Summer Challenge.
The Burnaby Velodrome Summer Challenge, taking place May 4th through 6th, 2007, will offer racing for every level of rider, and will feature non-stop entertainment for spectators!

The A, B, and C groups will be mass start racing on Friday night, Saturday night, and on Sunday. Each of these sessions will feature the very popular Madison race for both the A group and the B group. Results will be tracked through the weekend, and a BVSC Mass Start Omnium winner will be crowned on Sunday afternoon.

If Sprint Events are more your strength, then take part in our BVSC Sprint Omnium. Starting on Friday night and running through to Sunday, the Omnium will feature Chariot races, a Match Sprint round robin, a Flying 200m time trial, a 500m time trial, and the no holds barred Keirin race.

The Novice, Junior, and New Racer groups will be showcased on Saturday morning, taking to the boards to compete in a variety of mass start races.
On Saturday afternoon, both New and Elite Women races will be offered, with a final Elite Womens race on Saturday evening to determine the BVSC Womens Omnium winner!

Saturday night will see the return of the very popular Fixie Challenge, with a variety of races and competitions that is sure to entertain and amaze!

The evenings will also feature beverages by Red Truck, food, music, draw prizes and more!
