November 23, 2006 – Just an update on a few things for the Wednesday night series and the upcoming 6-day in January.
We will be adding Dec 20th to the Wednesday night calendar. This will make up for the night the power went out and we couldn’t race. Please add that to your calendar.
The 6-day will be held on Jan 2-7th. There is a tentative schedule up on the website now. Please note that you will need a new 2007 license to ride this event or will have to pay the one day License ($30.00). Cycling BC is offering a discount on early registration for December so please take advantage of this. We will not be able to “honour” the yes I paid but don’t have the paperwork yet deal. We don’t know when Cycling BC will close for the holidays so sign up early. You can als sign up on Karelo.
A large part of the 6-day is the Madison racing. There will be two groups riding the event at the six day. We will be running Madison training for those that want to ride the Madison races. The training will be held on Friday nights at 8 pm. Please be warmed up and ready before that time. This is MANDITORY for those of us who have not ridden a Madison event before and want to ride at the 6-day. For those of you that have ridden Madison’s but not at our track we will request you ride two of the training nights to become familiar with the track.
Jeremy Storie will be running the training. We will start the training this Friday if there is enough interest. Please contact him directly at Bigring54@shaw.ca
If there is someone you know that should get this email pleae pass it on to them.
