Summary:
This is one of the velodrome’s most crucial volunteer roles. And
something that this year we need to improve on. Pieces of our membership
management are in place, but they need to work better together. We need
someone to step up and be *the membership person* for 2005/2006.
We also need collection/membership cashbox people as primary and
secondary workers during some of the times during the week. Our coverage
has been sporadic — if people volunteer, this means that we have
guaranteed track hours, instead of showing up at the track with no-one
there, the track being out, and not being able to ride (as some of you
have experienced this year).
Our track operations are the key to our success. Please consider doing
your part to make the Burnaby Velodrome Club better this year.
Thanks,
Gordon Ross
