December 23, 2007 – The registration deadline is fast approaching for the Burnaby Six Day. Registration is available so don’t delay, fields are near capacity and there will not be day-of registration – to register click here. Whether you’re racing or spectating, here’s a brief outline of what each night will feature:
Monday
Opening Night of the Six Day. Two Madisons, a Madison flying 200m, and an elimination race for the Pro category. The A group will race in the ATAC Madison Cup, featuring two Madisons with two mass start races sandwiched in between them.
Tuesday
During the day, A and B sprinters will race in the Chariot races, while New Racers, Novice Women Racers, and C racers will each have several mass start races to contend with.
In the evening, the Pro’s will have 2 Madisons and 2 mass start races, while A and B riders will each have 3 mass start races. To top off the night, the A and B sprinters will tear around the track for the Team Sprint event.
Wednesday
The evening will feature both Madison and mass start races for the Pros, as well as Keirin races for the B sprint group. The night will also feature Women’s Only races for the Elite Women group, and mass start races for the C group.
Thursday
In the evening, the Pro’s will have 2 Madisons and 2 mass start races, while A and B riders will each have 2 mass start races and a Madison race.
Friday
Friday is big points and big cash night for the Pros. The Supersprint Madison will feature an escalating cash award for each sprint, while the final Madison will be worth double points towards the Six Day omnium. Also, the night will showcase the ever popular Keirin for the A sprint group, and several mass start races for the A and B groups.
Saturday
The final day of the Sixer, there’s tonnes of racing for everyone!
The day will feature the A and B group ‘Omnium Competition’ with riders competing in a flying 200m, a 2000m pursuit, a points race, a scratch race, and a 1000m killer kilo. Also, the A and B sprint groups will be racing for the Sprinters Cup, with match sprinting continuing on right through the day. Also, the C group, New Racer group, and Novice Womens group will each have mass start races.
The evening will see the Pros take to the track for one last session. Two Madisons and an elimination Madison are on the schedule, and then the Burnaby Six Day champions will be crowned. Also on Saturday night, the Elite women’s group will be featured, racing in a scratch, an elimination, and a points race.

– Delicious food from Anducci’s Restaurant will be served every night, featuring your choice of pasta and gourmet pizza.
– Red Truck Ale will be providing refreshments every night in our beverage garden.
– Live bands will be entertaining the Red Truck beverage garden on Monday, Friday and Saturday night. Monday night will see Tish Two deliver guitar/mandolin style world folk music, Friday night will see rock band Quite Concerned liven things up, and Saturday night will showcase the Chris Russell Jazz Trio.
