June 21, 2019 (Saint-Georges, QC) – The organization of the Tour De Beauce wishes to share this morning the decision of the International Cycling Union (UCI) to withdraw the Brunei Continental Cycling team from the 34th edition.
The UCI, which manages the administration of cycling sports on the international scene, has made this decision under specific regulations regarding the maximum number of riders that a team can include in its roster during the season.
The UCI announced to the team involved its withdrawal from the race before stage 3a of the Tour de Beauce, the individual time trial.
All the results posted by the cyclists of this Asian team will be removed from the different rankings of the stage race currently in progress. Quebec cyclist Bruno Langlois was invited at the last moments by the Brunei team to take part in the Tour de Beauce.
