Bromont Launches its BMX Activities

May 31st 2006 (Bromont, Quebec) – The Centre national de cyclisme de Bromont is proud to announce that the 100% BMX activities will start on June 5th. This summer, the athletes will be able to enjoy a brand new track. Also, four different possibilities will be offered to ensure a maximum of fun for all kinds of athletes. First of all, 100% BMX initiations, then 100% BMX improvement, 100% BMX member card and BMX competitions.

A brand new BMX racetrack
The BMX track has been completely restored and is now ready for all the passionate cyclists. Major renovations took place during the spring. Over a hundred loads of dirt were added to the track. These adjustments allowed new obstacles on the track. Moreover, the starting point is now larger and higher. Last but not least, an hydraulic starting device, provided by the Canadian cyclist association, will be installed during the upcoming weeks. Finally, the total value of these improvements comes up to $10 000.

100% BMX initiations
During these group initiations, the BMX cyclists will learn the basic notions necessary to ensure a safe practice of this sport. They will also get the chance to learn all the secret techniques. The apprentices will really be able to see their improvement as the classes go by. They will be trained by certified trainers, from whom they will get advices and expertise. The CNCB lends 2006 BMX bikes and hats for free during the initiations. These initiations classes are for everyone who would like to try this sport. The classes will be given on every Monday from June 5th to August 28th from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. However, the athletes will have the possibility to subscribe for only one class (15$) or for the whole summer (99$).

100% BMX improvement
The Centre national de cyclisme de Bromont has built itself a very good reputation over the years for its BMX lessons. Those classes will allow athletes to improve their BMX techniques. Private lessons or group lessons are available.

100% BMX member card
Every cyclist that wants to use the new track will have to get a member card at a cost of $20. This card gives access to the track during the hours established on the schedule.

BMX competitions
The Centre national de cyclisme de Bromont invites everyone who would like to assist to a spectacular BMX race to come and look at the best BMX athletes during the Coupe du Québec finale on August 12-13th 2006.
