January 16, 2007 – It has been renewed the agreement between the Belgian champion and the Italian company famous all over the world for its cycling products.

The Belgian Tom Boonen will dress Northwave shoes until Beijing 2008: that’s in synthesis the content of the recently renewal agreement signed by Andrea Pellizzari, general manager of Northwave and the Belgian athlete of the Quickstep-Innergetic team.

Supported by Northwave far from 2002, when, still young he moved from US Postal to the Quickstep, Tom Boonen has got in the years numerous successes that have carried the Northwave brand on podium of prestigious international contests over very fifty times. The recent contract renewal, beyond to the supply of cycling shoes, previews moreover the exploitation of the Belgian champion image for the new 2007 Northwave advertising campaign that will see an unsual and eccentric Tom Boonen as Ridley Scott’s “Gladiator”, as well as other interpretations of famous movies play-bills.
