July 24, 2004 – Samantha Cools of Airdrie Alberta was the odds on favourite to win the Junior Womens class but her constant rival from the USA, Kim Hiyashi had other plans. Hiyashi made up for a lackluster start by taking over the lead in turn one and never looked back. Laetitia Le Corguille of France managed to stay in front of Cools and took the silver over Cools who had to settle for third.

In the Junior Men’s Final, Michael Fenwick of Australia fended off USA’s Paul Lange to win the final.
