April 30, 2008 – Bikes Without Borders is meeting, brainstorming, and looking for people to get involved on Thursday, May 1, from 7pm to 9pm. Can you come? Wait, wait, who is this, this “Bikes Without Borders” you ask. Bikes Without Borders is a new non-profit organization dedicated to spreading the use and love of bicycles in Canada and all over the world. We are currently working with profit companies, NGO’s and other non-profits in supplying donated bicycles to domestic and international communities in need; we are hoping to offer support to local and international bike advocacy organizations; we are researching innovative ways to use bicycles and bike parts to build stronger communities, promote health, fitness and environmental initiatives — and we are looking for your help to do so!
WHEN: Thursday, May 1, 7pm to 9pm
WHERE: The “Snug” Room, Duke of Gloucester, 649 Yonge St., 2 blocks south of Bloor.
